Professor David Williams has a very strong grounding in academic biomedical engineering, for 40 years at the University of Liverpool, UK, and now at the Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) in North Carolina. He has extensive experience as a teacher, speaker and writer / editor, has advised governments and organizations around the world on strategic initiatives and has corporate boardroom experience, including the founding of a medical device company in Africa. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in the UK and Global Past President of the Tissue Engineering & Regenerative International Society (TERMIS).
Ms Peggy O’Donnell holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science and specializes in the strategic and practical aspects of communication and representation. She has worked extensively in the USA, Asia and South Africa, but spent much of her professional life in Europe, especially in the association management and publishing fields. She was the founding European Director for the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS). She is best known in the medical area as Managing Editor of Biomaterials, a position she held for 15 years, as well as for the creation and delivery of high-level educational and strategic programs in Europe and Asia.
