David Williams has a very strong grounding in academic biomedical engineering and biomaterials science, working at the University of Liverpool, UK for 40 years and then 10 years at the Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine in North Carolina, USA. He has extensive experience as a teacher, speaker and writer / editor and consultant to the medical device industry. He has advised governments and organizations around the world on strategic initiatives and has corporate boardroom experience. He was a founder of a medical device company in Africa and is their technical director. He has been the Editor-in-Chief of Biomaterials, a major academic journal, and was the Global President of the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in the UK and Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales.

Peggy O’Donnell holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science and specializes in the strategic and practical aspects of communication and representation. She has worked extensively in the USA, Asia and South Africa, but spent much of her professional life in Europe, especially in the association management and publishing fields. She was the founding European Director for the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS). She is best known in the medical area as Managing Editor of Biomaterials, a position she held for 15 years, as well as for the creation and delivery of high-level educational and strategic programs in Europe and Asia.
